Minnis
In
spite of the popularity of his work, this
Bahamian businessman maintains that art is just
a hobby. One of his first commissions was the
original design and execution of a plaster mold
of a duho (Lucayan Chief's chair) that was
used to make the prestigious "Bahamas
Cacique Awards" trophy which is presented
annually for achievements in tourism. His
favourite subject matter for painting is local
neighbourhood scenes and beaches, and he is
often commissioned by The Bahamas Kennel Club to
paint small canvases for their annual Dog Show
awards. Shown below are reproductions of several
of his acrylic on canvas paintings (all sold.)
